Meet with Yunxuan Xie (Will), a TVCC Peer Tutor, for help with your math coursework!
Your peer tutor can help you review concepts, work through practice problems, identify areas where you may need additional practice, and develop strategies for approaching math assignments and exams.
Courses supported: MATH 1314, MATH 1332
Choose a 1-on-1 tutoring session for individualized support or a group session to work alongside other students.

- What can the peer tutor help me with?
Your tutor can explain concepts, walk through practice problems, help you identify where you are getting stuck, and provide study and problem-solving strategies.
- Will the tutor give me the answers?
The goal is to help you understand how to solve problems independently. Your tutor will guide you through the process rather than simply giving you the answer.
- Can I bring homework or practice problems?
Yes! Bring the problems or assignments you are working on, along with your notes and course materials.
- Can I prepare for a test with my tutor?
Yes. Tutoring sessions can be used to review concepts, practice problems, and identify topics you should continue studying.
- Can I attend with classmates?
Yes! You can sign up for a group session when available.
- What should I bring?
Bring your calculator if required for your course, notes, textbook, homework, practice problems, and any questions you have.
Calculators are available at the CSC, so if you forget yours, it's not a problem!
- What happens if my tutor is unavailable?
If your peer tutor cannot attend the scheduled session, the session may be canceled. You will be notified if there is a change to your scheduled session.
